SDC Snowball Tournament
On January 29th and 30th 2011 The Scarborough Diving Club will be hosting the 26th Annual Snowball Classic. We encourage divers to participate in this competition. Meet Handouts will be available during the Christmas Party & Mini-Meet. Coaches will inform those who will be invited out to the Snowball. We ask that parents assist us in running this competition. We require people to help with the scoring table. Please speak to Elise or Robyn if you would like to volunteer. We also ask that all divers assist by providing food or refreshments. We will be approaching all divers and their parents for help. We appreciate any assistance that you can provide. We are looking for raffle items (large & small) Thank you in advance.
The Snowball is a level I, II, III competition. Clubs from all over Ontario join us for a weekend of fun. The fee to attend the Snowball Classic is $20 for registration and $15 per event. There is an additional cost for competitive insurance, this cost is $95.00. This insurance is required to be paid prior to attending the Snowball Classic. This insurance covers any additional competitions for the remainder of the year. See the important dates sections for upcoming meets.
With the help of family and friends the Snowball has always been a huge success. Thank you!!

SDC Fun Days
Throughout the diving season we promote team spirit between all members. In previous years we have had a movie night, mini-meet, skating and Wonderland Trip. These outings are always a huge success and enjoyed by all. All divers are urged to participate in the Scarborough Diving Club fun days to engage in team spirit outside of the pool. We also have Casino Rama Trips for the Parents and friends of the Scarborough Diving Club.
Dive A Thon
The Scarborough Diving Club Dive-A-Thon is our Fall fundraiser. The Dive-A-Thon will be held on Monday December 13, 2010 from 7:00pm - 9:00pm at Centennial Pool. Divers are asked to get sponsors for their efforts. The funds raised will go towards the cost of increasing pool fees and equipment maintenance. The Dive-A-Thon is open to all divers. The Dive-a-Thon promotes both the diving skills learned and fitness. The Dive-a-Thon has been successful in previous years and we anticipate an even greater participation this year. Come out to the pool and cheer on our athletes as they complete this year's Dive-a-Thon. There will be a prize for the diver who raises the most money. In return we will offer a free diving lesson to each sponsor to be redeemed at a later date. Everyone's support is appreciated during this initiative.
